Space Invaders

Based upon the classic arcade game, this Space Invaders clone is entitled DOM Invaders due to use of html elements as game pieces. I created a system of sprite animation that executes at custom rates depending on frame rate required per sprite. The bases use a canvas element to implement pixel-based hit detection.

Responsive across all display port sizes, this game is playable on any device, directly in the browser. Controls change from keyboard input to touch controls if user is on a touch device.

Mobile version pictured below. Scales to any display port, iPhone 5 to 4kTV.

Based on a popular casino wheel game, this web app uses similar betting system and odds.

Each spin’s landing wedge is calculated in real time, using varying initial spin speed, constant friction of the wheel, and intermittent friction of the pegs between wedges.

The game has a fully functional betting system which tracks bet targets and amounts and pays and collects accurately. No real money in this demo version.

The game and its betting interface and “fauxics” were challenging and fun to build. The difficulty came in tailoring the layout responsively across devices, from high def tv to laptop, to tablet, to phone, portrait and landscape across viewport sizes.

Designed email Newsletter Template and built twice-monthly newsletter for National Association of Independent Schools.

The bulletin was assembled and distributed with Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud.

We worked with Salesforce’s development and partner development team to debug early versions of their software and test features.

The client, Bay Area Women against Rape, required a site refresh, including homepage redesign, as well as style updates for internal pages. Graphical and architectural updates were made to improve UI, UX.

Created custom WordPress child theme to accomplish all site update requirements. Consistently delivered on time and on goal while meeting with and responding to fluidly changing internal team.

This web app, developed for Tacit Knowledge, promotes their expertise in ecommerce staging and maintenance.

I built this in cooperation with Chromatrope, a web strategy company.

The challenge was to understand the client’s grading algorithm, connect to and retrieve the data, and use it to build an interactive display of the top 50 ecommerce sites daily (hourly).

website- We Might Be Superheroes

We designed, built and maintained the official website for We Might Be Superheroes, a successful web series turned Amazon Prime feature.

The official site includes episode descriptions by producer Pat Bishow, who through our expert tutelage, quickly learned to add episodes on his own, and include accompanying commentary.
